The Women’s Aid One-to-One Support Service provides in-depth information and support to women subjected to domestic violence and abuse. The service is available in five locations in the Greater Dublin Area: - Ballymun, - Dublin City Centre – North and South sides, - Dun Laoghaire, - Swords. If you cannot attend any of these locations, we can arrange another safe location to meet. We cannot meet you in your home.

Services Provided

With the One-to-One Support Service you will get ongoing support and information on your options. This can include things like court accompaniment and safety planning. A Support Worker can advocate for you if needed. You will meet a Women’s Aid Support Worker. All Support Workers are professional, understanding and experienced in managing situations like yours. Our support workers also provide court accompaniment to women engaging with the legal system because of domestic abuse.

Domestic Abuse Information and Support - A drop-in service at Dolphin House

Organisational Overview

The D.A.I.S is a free and confidential drop-in information and support service in Dolphin House Family Law Court for women experiencing domestic abuse. This service is run by Women's Aid in partnership with Inchicore Oureach Domestic Violence Service

Services Provided

Our Support Workers provide support and information about your situation and explain how the court works. This includes: - Information on legal options. - Safety planning. - Linking you with a domestic violence service for ongoing support, if you wish.

Women's Aid Maternity Outreach

The Women’s Aid Maternity Outreach Service provides support, information and advocacy to women who are experiencing domestic abuse and who are receiving Maternity Care from the three Dublin based Maternity hospitals – The Rotunda Hospital, The National Maternity Hospital at Holles Street and The Coombe Hospital.

Services Provided

The Women’s Aid Maternity Outreach Support Worker will provide you with short-term, focused support and advocacy. This includes: - Providing space and time for you to discuss your situation, - Supporting you to identify your priorities and your needs, - Providing you with information and practical support around legal, immigration, housing and crisis accommodation options, - Accompanying you to court, - Providing you with practical financial support such as home security costs and/or emergency subsistence needs. These are assessed on a case-by-case basis according to need and subject to funding availability. - Signposting to appropriate counselling services, - Referring you to the Women’s Aid High-Risk Support Project, if required, - Linking you with longer-term domestic abuse support in your local community.
